When you log in to your Good Smile Company "My Account", the message "Failed reCAPTCHA authentication" may appear.
Understanding reCAPTCHA Authentication
reCAPTCHA is a service provided by Google to prevent bots from spamming websites, and has the same effect as a checkbox that appears with the words "I am not a robot" on the submit or login screen of a website.
Homepages can be attacked by bots, and reCAPTCHA is used to prevent such attacks.
Therefore, the message "Failed reCAPTCHA authentication" is caused by the customer's access environment, not by a system failure on our company website.
What to do
Unfortunately, our company does not know what causes authentication to fail, but you may be able to remedy this by trying the following:
- Log in to your Google account in your browser first before trying to register for an account
- If you have already logged in to your Google account, try logging in with a different Google account
- Open a New Secret Window (Secret Mode) and try to register or log in your account
- Close your browser and try logging in using a different browser (Safari → Chrome, etc.)
- Try registering an account by linking with Facebook or AppleID other than an email address
- Wait for a while and try logging in at a different time
